Baker Tilly Advances AI-Enabled Assurance and Advisory Delivery with Fieldguide

Baker Tilly, a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm, today announced an expanded collaboration with Fieldguide, the leading agentic AI platform for audit and advisory firms. Building on more than a year of applied use, Baker Tilly has expanded adoption of the platform across its risk advisory services, enabling the firm to deliver more consistent, transparent and efficient outcomes for clients, with a “human in the loop” approach that ensures appropriate professional oversight.

The firm has implemented the platform across System and Organization Controls (SOC), payment card industry (PCI) and HITRUST, as well as frameworks such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), along with internal audit (IA).

Fieldguide supports Baker Tilly’s risk advisory services by embedding AI-enabled workflows across engagements. Initially, teams have used the platform to support documentation, testing and review processes, enabling professionals to focus more deeply on analysis, judgment and client service. These capabilities support, but do not replace, professional judgment or required procedures. All applications are aligned with Baker Tilly’s established methodologies, professional standards and client confidentiality requirements.

“Fieldguide is a key part of how we’re evolving our delivery model,” said Heather Acker, Baker Tilly managing principal and leader of the risk advisory practice. “By embedding AI into engagements in a controlled, practical way, we aim to enhance consistency and quality while helping enable our teams to focus more deeply on insight and client value.”

Fieldguide’s platform embeds AI capabilities across the engagement lifecycle, from planning through reporting, with structured workflows, transparency and human oversight. Baker Tilly’s implementation emphasizes alignment with firm methodologies and professional standards, helping ensure consistency and transparency throughout the engagement process.

Over the past year, Baker Tilly teams have used the platform to help streamline evidence gathering, help improve workpaper quality and support more efficient testing cycles, which can enable faster turnaround times and a more seamless client experience while maintaining the rigor expected in delivering work.

“Clients don’t just need more efficient projects — they need sharper insight and faster answers,” said Acker. “AI capabilities can help enable work to be performed more intelligently and at greater scale, resulting in more responsive delivery and deeper insight for clients.”

“Baker Tilly takes a thoughtful, practitioner-first approach to embedding AI into client engagements,” said Jin Chang, Co-Founder and CEO of Fieldguide. “By standardizing engagement delivery on a single platform, they’re able to apply AI consistently and responsibly across their practice, enhancing quality while scaling how work gets done. Their expanded use of Fieldguide reflects a shared belief: that the future of audit and advisory belongs to firms who pair professional judgment with agentic AI built for the rigor this profession demands.”
